Here's what producer Kurt Kuersteiner of Monsterwax wrote about them:
"Monster Faces combine the charm of traditional bubble gum cards such as the Garbage Pail Kids of the 1980’s, with a modern pop art style similar to that of Robert Williams. Like Williams, Russo has a flair for psychodelic images of sexy women, wild demons, and rock n' roll. The front of each card displays a full color ‘Monster Face’ while the backs feature black and white mini-comic strips.
As with all Monsterwax items, this is an extremely limited edition series. Fewer than 500 boxes were produced, each numbered to prove it.
Every box includes a ‘Monsterwax Metal card,’ which is an actual printing plate- a real collector’s item. There will also be an autographed sketch card in each box signed by Russo with his original art hand drawn on the reverse."
